My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

Little context: I was an ED student, full time paralegal/clerk throughout my law school experience, and a single mother. I did not take advantage of the law school extracurriculars and missed out on clerk application deadlines my final year (2020). Would it benefit me to take a pay cut as a transactional clerk by about $20k to work as a clerk for a year then re-enter firm life? I’m transactional and enjoy that line of work.

I work for a late stage(ipo) start up, earlier this year we were acquired & since then they got rid of our yearly bonuses and gave us an ESOP grant.
2 RIFs later we are almost bare bones. Since we are coming up on our usual yearly evaluations many of us assumed (with multiple conversation from our managers) that pay raises and promotions were due.
In a recent All hands we found out that this year there will be no pay raises nor promotions based off merit. Is it time to jump ship?

Fishes need suggestions. I have been put on PIP for bad performance. I am being a part of 6 months project and project is about to complete with backend work done. I took more time for some tasks because of not knowing the technology so they highlighted that and my senior send emails to HR to put me on PIP. What should I do ? Acknowledge PIP ? Or resign? Thinking about getting a travel trailer since I camp alone with the kids a lot in the summer, spring and fall for quick weekends.
