All that you listed are front office because they are revenue generating. That is the definition of front office.
What kind of question is this?
At Deloitte consulting gets paid the most, all you need to know
Front office = revenue generating and client facing. Ex. consulting
Mid office = may work with clients from time to time but you’re not typically in client facing engagements. Ex work with client and explain why his data is secure on our network
Back office = not client facing. You help the company you work for run. Ex build and maintain web servers for our company website
Senior in undergrad trying to understand the comparison of the different service lines of why people get paid more in certain areas, "higher prestige", how much money engagements bring, etc.
Risk Consulting, Audit, Tax,idk what financial advisory, make substantially less than consulting. At PwC, the folks in the aforementioned groups start at 50-55K while consulting starts at 75-80ish with higher bonuses
Front office pays the most since they generate the most money. Back office is a cost center, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important. We pay for it for a reason it’s just harder to monetize its value because they aren’t bringing in multi million dollar deals
