Is there an “ideal” time to interview?
Hi Team,
I gave and cleared all the rounds for TCS. Post that they asked me to update my documents on their portal, which i did last week.
But till now i am yet to receive the offer letter from their side.
Can someone guide me on this?? Is it normal to take this much of time? Tata Consultancy

I would lean more towards 6 months, but I think it really depends on what the job was and how it contributed to your skill set and story related to the job you’re trying to get.

oooo yah that's a good question. 6 months seems reasonable, unless the role holds heavy significance in some manner and the reason for leaving was not unfavorable in terms of a reflection on you as the employee.
The group is laying off but I still got good experience - need it for applying to next role
I asked a similar question in a different bowl and got very different answers. Essentially, they all said: ‘who cares? It’s about you, not them. Leave when you want’
On the opposite extreme, I’ve heard some advocate for staying at least a year minimum.
I stayed a year because I have a history of job hopping. If you do not, you can probably get away with anything less than 1 year
As someone who hires a lot. 1 or 2 brief roles with an obvious reason to leave is not a if deal but job hopping a a huge red flag. 3 months of experience in a role, unless it is a special project would not equate to experience for me. You can barely find the bathroom after 3 months.
