Anyone recently received a tax manager offer from EY ? I’m going through final interviews and want to see what your experience was like (negotiation process, initial offer higher/lower than expected?, did you give them a salary expectation range? How long did it take from final interview to offer etc) TIA!PwC EY KPMG Deloitte

Most PA companies are in hiring freeze/layoffs. Where would you go with your limited experience?
PwC OP, if you didn’t rotate/change groups, and you are decent , the norm is 2 full years to promotion now. So you could definitely be promoted next year. Take that into consideration
Salt? If your building skills that you think are useful then I guess guess stay and push for next year promotion - otherwise try to transfer to a group which is more generalized or exit - personal opinion having done salt for 2 years- loads of hours and can't say me or my colleagues got much out of it
I disliked SALT and left after 2 years. I started looking after my first year and it took roughly 1 year for me to find a job I felt comfortable taking.

Which city?
Not NYC or California haha. Starting salary @ 55.5k fits the COL where I am so I’m not getting screwed there.
Yeah totally understand and get that, my fear is I grind these hours for another year, and then I’m making 60k and didn’t get promoted. It is fair to say that I am a high performer and I am worried that they will be making 3 year promotions more standard, and if I had been theoretically in an earlier start class, I would have been promoted at the 2 year mark.
Where are you going to go? I wasn't aware there are a ton of options and have a hard time seeing a better option than staying at pwc.
Broaden your horizons please
