If you think you've been treated unfairly, have you tried talking with those responsible about it one on one? Sometimes that helps solve things without drastic measures. If not, and you have a pattern of disrespect and bad decisions being made towards you, i'd say it's time for a new job.
If it would be better for you to move on, then I encourage you doing what's best for you. However, it is almost always better to try to have a positive impact on the situation at hand. By being a woman in leadership, and by taking the brunt of this poor behavior, you are paving the way and standing up for future leadership opportunities for other women. If you are able to change how they treat you, you can change how they treat other women.
That’s a great perspective. I am ready to try. How do we change how they treat women? Their boss supports them big time. I feel like I don’t have any voice.
What do you mean by layered? Were responsibilities taken away?
Agreed.. whatever perception they have is not going to change without major change at top and time. Better to leave and have them crawling to you to come back … if ever. The door will always be open.
