What is your take on wearing headphones at work? Sometimes if I'm making copies of materials or during prep hours or doing mindless paperwork I'll pop them in and listen to a book. Today though I think I may have upset a teacher because she tried to talk to me and I couldn't hear her - she looked really annoyed! I try to listen on lower volume and I promise I'm not trying to ignore anyone! I said sorry and talked to her but do I need to do anything else?

I am only a second year SPED teacher and my eyes are already wide open to the fact that admin and Gen Ed teachers so often fail to inform me about important things regarding the grade levels I teach and other school events.
