Interviewer : Why do you need this job?

Hi Infosys guys, I have cleared one technical interview and got email for further round which is planned for tomorrow. Email mentions that this is a telephonic interview, is this supposed to be an HR round discussing salary or another tech round.
SAP SD - 2 YOE Current CTC is 4.8LPA.
how much should I ask at infy? Position offered is associate consultant. Thanks in advance.
Hello I got a confirmation from HR at Shell that I have been selected for a role and there will be background checks before joining the company. He said the mail will come from a 3rd party vendor for the background verification. It has been 1 week and there has been no mails till now. Is it normal? Should I follow up with the HR again?
Crossroads Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. I have been with the organization almost 6 years and have accomplished achievement of my MSL (Masters Strategic Leadership) and LOVE the organization…BUT…I am not having any success in moving into a new position…my interviews are great experiences but it seems to be a pattern of not being selected yet encouraged to continue applying…received information from a mentor/manager to ask for candid feedback…when is enough…ENOUGH??

Any one familiar with comp for a Portfolio Associate roll at PIMCO on their mortgage backed securities team? I’m looking at an offer and want make sure I’m in line with the average comp for the company and industry. Only 4 months of experience and offer is 98k w/ 10-20% bonus plus 15k relo/ sign on. Looking at Glassdoor, bonuses seem higher than quoted by the hiring manager. (No written offer yet they say they’re still working on it)

Did you phrase it as “Unfortunately, I will be unavailable for 2 weeks beginning June 1st. Do the interviewers have availability to meet before then?” Or did you really ask them if there is interest in scheduling?
Recruiters seem to have a knack for ghosting people. I interviewed early last week and was told they had interviews the rest of the week and then would either conduct a second round of interviews or make an offer. I emailed the recruiter Sunday to see if they would have an answer this week as I have a competing offer. Radio silence.
Ghosting is usual with HR, I feel this is used a negotiation technique depending on how desperate the candidate is. They don’t realise the consequences. Also sometime in genuine cases the process is so monotonous, it’s ages before an approval is sorted.
Had one from a reputable firm that always replied like a couple of days after. Always an excuse like “sorry this was sitting in my drafts” or “got caught in my spam”. I just stopped responding to her and went directly to the company’s internal recruiting team.
