What role did you pivot into after public accounting auditing? I have 7 YOE and trying to get an idea of what to pivot into.

I don't understand the point of hiring candidates. Its been more than two months and i am sitting idle. There is no updates from management. I am getting info like i will get half salary this month because of the bench policy. I m confused what to do next

As a tax manager how do you stop feeling like a factory worker on the line churning out tax returns? I’m outgoing and do not like being in the weeds…stayed in public accounting thinking making manager would get me to more of a sales/client relationship position but nothing changed since I was the main client contact as a senior and now have no one to delegate to.

I’m not designated a senior associate, but my small firm (boss, myself, and a paralegal) is hiring a recent grad. Still needs to pass the hazing ritual (aka bar exam). I have been in client facing wealth management as an advisor for 10 years. I haven’t built a book of business because I’ve worked for mostly discount brokers (Merrill edge, TDA, Etrade). Should I Go Back and Reneg? Recently I was offered a role as a Project Implementation Manager (In Retirement Services) .The salary range for Colorado residents was 65-89K. I’m located in NY so the recruiter said he would try to get me more. Ultimately he came back at 90K which is a bit inline with that I was seeing on Glassdoor but approx looks like I may leave 10-12K on the table.
