Honestly I wouldn’t overly focus on the specific level (director, manager, etc.) but more on the type of work and the compensation. Some orgs have inflated title structures in which a “director” is almost doing the work of an admin assistant.
Agree. I’ve seen directors comp range from $70k to over $200k. All depends on the Org.
My advice is to research former employees of your firm. That should give you pretty good insight into what to expect. For my firm, consultants tend to exit to SM/AD/D, with SM/AD being more common as a more junior C. We don't have an SC role.
In pharma, the SM and AD roles are pretty similar as far as I've seen in terms of level of responsibility.
