The attrition rate in Infosys for last 3 quarters roughly accounts to 75% (20+27+28). With nearly 3/4 of the company moving out in last 9 months, the Infy management have never seemed to have learnt a lesson from it.
Still no compensation revision given for employees who have been associated for long term (Say 4+ years)
Folks - Is there any compensation revision planned in the near future... considering the after effects of q1 fy23 attrition rise ?

Can introverts sustain in consulting??
Got a random email from a supposed Amazon recruiter for a SDE position (which is not at all a fit). The email is amazon.com domain and there are no red flags in the body but it doesn't feel like an Amazon recruiter due to the tacky signature, etc. Has anyone seen this kind of cold-calling from FAANG recruiter?

Honestly my starting salary, 80k. I'm young, single, locl city, no debt. I have more than enough flexibility to do what I want and max out retirement accounts
$140k, digging myself out of student loan debt...
same here, that was my magical number
85k tbh - then again I’m single, paid my debts off, etc and live in a higher end suburb. But it was the point I wasn’t stressing about money. Obviously would always like more but didn’t feel the weight of not making it, if that makes sense. As consultants we expect to be making 200k my the time we’re 40 but in reality many people do well without even close to that mark. Ego and greed is tough. I’m now making 122.5 and I can safely say it hasn’t made my life significantly better.
Yeah same - I started out making $75k (Boston) and it’s felt like plenty to spend, save, and be happy
100K. Milestone, psychological goal. Enough to save, eat out, have a little play money
Anything under 200k is abject poverty.
JK... it was when I hit $80k. I could pay NYC rent, aggressively pay student loans, afford healthcare, go out every week, travel a few times a year, and save.
60k€ starting salary - very comfortable when you don't have the crazy money holes like here in the US
There's good research that the $70-80k level is where money stops increasing happiness. You have all your necessities covered and can still afford a few luxuries.
It's Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. At that ~$75k level you have met all of your Safety Needs, and money may enhance Love/Belonging/Esteem (maybe...), but it can't get you to Self Actualization. You have to go deeper for that.

This is pretty dependent on COL though. This study puts it at over 100k for the US.

80k as well
70. Live in a low CoL city but had massive student loans. 70 was when I could afford to buy new towels and eat out occasionally.
100k
85k was when I no longer worried about monthly expenses realistically. I had enough to cover my expenses and slowly accumulate fun stuff like a Tumi , LV wallet, AirPods, etc
$82K
87k
I always maxed out retirement/401k/stock.
90k was when I no longer was worried about making ends meet.
100k is when I stopped looking at my paycheck and bank balance prior to making larger financial decisions.
Obviously I’m single.
$100k although when I hit $150k and could pay cash for kid’s college plus maintain the vacations, savings, etc., that made me even happier. :)
