High school hours were hard but content was easy
Found college content more difficult but the fact that there were only 15-20hrs of lecture per week (vs 30-35 in hs) made it feel easier
Was an engineering major. HS was definitely easier, content wise
Pretty sure major is a huge factor in this, although I'd question why anyone bothered with a college major that somehow managed to be easier than HS...
And where you went to high school.
HS was definitely harder in my experience.
I disagree but I guess it depends on where you went to college
Right! Like did your parents pay for you to be accepted as an athlete or....??
Highschool was a joke compared to engineering classes
My HS classes were definitely more difficult than any college course I took, with the exception of maybe 1 or 2
100% true
Agree 100%
College was tougher for me. Not in terms of material or coursework but balancing classes with my social life since my friends were more accessible and we weren’t all taking the same classes as was the case in high school. I could always find someone who was free to hang around doing nothing any time of the day in college.
HS was tougher for me as well. I think because HS had a less flexible schedule it made balancing everything challenging, especially in combination with extra curriculars and sports
Pretty sure I didn't have to take Mechanics of Deformable Bodies in High School...
Strongly disagree
My PhD disagrees
agreed much harder all around
Went to a US boarding school (3 varsity sports + multiple extracurriculars + orchestra) and then an Ivy (my classes didn’t start until 11am and I used “reading week” to go out every night)... High school was 100% harder for me
Lol. Anybody who believes that is a moron.
HS was tougher since it was a magnet program type aka nerd school. We did twice the work in a week vs a regular school. College was a breeze for me because of the work speed and volume from HS.
I don't think anyone with an engineering or physics degree found university easier. I did engineering and econ, econ was equal to HS, engineering was much harder.
Based on what? Socially it was harder, work wise it was easier.
High school was more stressful for a variety of reasons but, on average, the classes were a little easier. Of course, that definitely depends on the classes you take, the classes and teachers at your high school, the college you go to, and what your major is.
