So many people feeling entitled. They don’t realize how good they have it sometimes.
Trusting me with something, then doing it themselves. Telling me to do something a certain way then going back and making changes that create tons more work when all is complete.
The most frustrating part of my job is the uncertainty, both with clients and employees. For instance, just this month I had an employee out sick for two weeks during a 4-week project she was leading. I also had a fellow prospect reach out to me for a project they wanted to do "immediately" so i rushed to put together a proposal, only to tell me the next week that they didn't have any budget for a project. I'll go weeks where my workload is next to nothing, only to work 80 hours a week for months. It's all a natural part of running your own business, and it's hard to say it is "adversity" in my position but trust me - there are challenges!
Everything related to IT/systems. Stop gatekeeping access to systems behind 1,000,000 layers of approvals and access requests.
Working for an American corporation with its Parent HQ in the EU, all Director positions or higher are only filled by EU transplants with Visas and there is no chance in hell you will be promoted to anything higher than Peasant First Class. And you are expected to Americanize them and teach them to do their jobs. I am so over this place. 😒
This isn't a place of rigor / legit critical thought.
