How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

Senior producer - 140k / New York
New to Fishbowl?

I just secured 170k full time - Always go as high as possible and sell yourself to the max and don’t settle for less! They wanted to pay 150k.
I’m 13 years in the biz. 4 yrs as Sr producer. Have EP’d twice. Good luck!
BP1 my career has been split between NY and LA. No agencies independent or holding co would every pay a FT content sr producer 150k. 110-130k is the norm at most shops: WK, Ogilvy, BBH, RGA.
150-180k is the EP norm at those shops.
Assuming you are a straight white male for finding these salaries shockingly low.
Race, sex, gender also play a huge role in terms of what you can expect. Sadly.
Maybe, 150k would be on the high end I think
Not reasonable. $130K is more realistic
I took a “content producer” job for 70k and I negotiated as they wanted to pay a lot less for someone junior. I was desperate to get out of the freelance grind that I’ve been in for 5 years. From
Fishbowl talking about all your high salaries I feel like an idiot but I couldn’t take going into another year with the anxiety of not knowing if I’d work again
You’re a senior producer with only 4 years? Wow...
Is $150K reasonable?
150 is super high for SR. It’s a low EP salary. 120-130 is more realistic
F1 a Content Producer produces OLV and photos. No digital. No experiential
EP 2, I wonder, where are you? I have to assume it’s not NYC or San Francisco. I don’t know of any EPs that would take a salary of $150k but I’ve mostly worked in nyc and sf. I think that $150k is a reasonable salary for 8 years experience but everything depends on the city and the quality of the experience. 8 years doing national campaigns at a top agency with excellent creative is way more valuable than 8 years grinding out regional, low quality creative.
So generally, I think that a content producer in NYC with 8 years experience in major agencies can feel confident asking for $150k, but OP, you’ll need to analyze the QUALITY of your experience for yourself. The number of years is only part of the equation.
And again, I’m really very curious about what city EP 2 is writing from. Thanks!
150 sounds ok for NYC.
What exactly does “content producer” mean these days?
