Deloitte has a number of roles for Advisory Manager Financial services Risk management, one of which I've applied to. It has been 3 weeks and haven’t heard anything, is this normal or have they passed on my application? I believe I've met all their requirements in a candidate for the role.
Can anyone give insight to typical hiring process for Microsoft corporate functions, specifically for an HR Program Manager role? Salary ranges would be extremely helpful as well!

Downside to being poached by your federal client? I like the team and the salary is comparable (less growth maybe but that's fine with me.)
What’s the key differences between the Account Management and Client Services roles? Both from a career track and responsibilities perspective? (Tomato, Tomato? Lol)
I rolled off a project 3 months ago. They keep reaching out and asking me to help onboard new teammates to give them historical knowledge (it’s a long-term project). Do I have to keep doing this? Or does it get to a point where I can say I don’t have the time and there must be someone more recent who can help?
How did you manage gmat w/ >14 hrs of client work + practice dev (internal firm)? How long did it take you to get that >90 percentile? Any tips on studying for gmat consistently?

How much is an MBA valued for a consulting exit? Example: Two consultants, A and B who went into the same firm right after college. A spent 2 years as an AC, 1 year as an SAC, 2 years as a C. B spent 2 years as an AC, 2 years MBA, 2 years as a C. Will a PE firm value B over A?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Has anyone ever been confirmed for a project and then told not to fly out yet while they review resources?

Had a final round interview with B4 consulting on Monday and spoke with a partner for 10 min. When is it okay to follow up with them about a final decision? Currently staffed and they wanted me to start in March. So wanted to give my team maximum time to backfill my position.
PHR or SHRM-CP?
What are the most lucrative exit opps for a generalist/strategy consultant at big 4 public sector consulting with security clearance? I’ve heard positive things about Google and Amazon/AWS and about some of the big defense firms (Lockheed). Is it actually possible to boost comp by 50% or so on exit from big 4 in this space?
I have some friends over at McKinsey and they were saying I should apply as an experienced hire. I’m currently living in a smaller cheaper city and pretty comfortable with my family here. Friends at McKinsey say they think I would have to relocate. Any truth to that? I know some BCGers that are a part of the Bay Area office but live in PHX so I was just curious...
How often do you get contacted by recruiters for lateral moves? Would you prefer that over applying direct or trying to use your network? Any experiences?
I finally got a job and am very excited..but wanted to understand: Is 20 day PTO and 10 day holiday good? I had grand ideas of getting unlimited pto and working remotely and feel I can’t do this with 20 days The pay is good-ish and I am trying to negotiate on that. Can I negotiate on holidays, or anything else?
Has anyone applied for McKinsey analyst/senior analyst position for analytics and have any advice? Especially for the “case interview with an analytics twist” part? Thanks!!
3.3 GPA in CS, 760 GMAT, Deloitte internships - should I bother applying to deferred MBAs? Or do I not have a shot?
Thoughts on leaving a big 4 as salary employee, rejoining the same long term engagement immediately as a subcontractor? Client and Engagement leadership see my value, firm pays me a fraction of it.
Out of curiosity, what are exit opportunities for those in the tax field? Can we also transition easily to other pursuits such as Wealth Managemnt/IB or Consulting? Does audit/advisory have an easier transition into other roles as compared to those in tax? Or is it an un-said thing that we are on equal footing? Once had a B4 Partner laughed at me and told me, "Kid, get out of tax immediately. You'll be stuck there forever." Honestly, wtf did he mean? Appreciate honest/blunt answers 👍
Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
Should I be investing my 401k contributions right now? I’m afraid that the market’s going to crash. Would it be a better option to just hold the funds uninvested in the pre tax account?
I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?
Did you discuss salary/title before an offer was extended? What timeline from interview?
I’m assigned to a short term engagement that would need H1B amendment. After this amendment, would I need to file another one in order to do jobs that are entitled to my current H1B?

Does anyone have any advice for a rising sophomore trying to get an IB/PE offer for the 2022 summer? Any tips about interviewing, networking, etc. is greatly appreciated. I have a 3.9 GPA at Notre Dame with a good financial internship from this summer so I feel like I have a decent chance, but I definitely need some guidance. Thank you in advance!
660k net worth at mid - late 30s still feel insecure due to no access to affordable Health Insurance. Health is ok, some dental issues. But, can we really call this a free country if one health issue can bring you on road? What are the options for health insurance if you try a new job and get fired?
Hello All. I have been in Support for 15 years and I would love to advance into a technical leadership role. I'm pretty open to any possibilities: Customer Success, PM, QA, etc The question is how? I have a mentor at my workplace who works in my "dream" department, I have reached out to hiring managers for various positions but am always told "you aren't a good fit." And the odds seem stacked against me. Any feedback on what else I can be done as I truly want more responsibility and advancement.
