Making decent money and my husband and I are starting IVF. I went from feeling ok financially to pretty concerned. Insurance only contributes 15k that’s it. I’m trying to decide how I feel about taking out a loan. Is it wise? Any IFV folks with a perspective?
Could use your help. I’m reviewing a contract for a new (in-house, freelance) gig, and the following 3 things I want to counter — or at least I’m curious if these are common: 1) Non-compete for 2 years for same industry 2) Must have liability insurance for up to 2 million while there (didn’t know this existed honestly) 3) Must give 30 day notice if leaving (I’m fine with 2 weeks…but 30 days?!) …Any advice on if these are standard and how to best negotiate them?
Posted yesterday about getting into a wreck. My insurance has determined that I was not at fault. So the other insurance will likely pay. Do I ask them to reimburse me for the cars diminished value ??
How do you repeatedly turn down work for one partner or effectively avoid working with a particular person within your firm? Assuming hours are met and your standing is strong otherwise. One partner at my firm is destroying my mental health and knows few boundaries. I don't want to actively transition from our ongoing matters but sure as hell don't want to take on anything new... How best to do this without burning bridges?
Looking to jump from healthcare consulting into venture or growth equity healthcare investing. Any good firms that value consulting experience that folks would recommend?
Looking for some boutique firms (healthcare/public health sector) that do work relating to social determinants of health, community health centers, population health, community hospitals. Any suggestions?

How are EY India's Health Plan Choices? How much coverage they provide? I am about to start working with EY India, so if they provide a good coverage then I will stick to their plan, otherwise I will start investigating health plans outside.
So far I’ve been through 1 IVF cycle. I have one embryo that is frozen waiting for transfer. My doctor is wanting me to do another round of IVF to back eggs for baby number two down the road. Has anyone been through this? I know of two people around my age that got pregnant naturally with their second baby after IVF. Does anyone know about banking embryos for future use instead of transferring? My insurance doesn’t cover anything so all this of out of pocket.
Anyone have any tips or insight on NFIP flood insurance vs private? Does it matter what you get?
I don’t own a car as I don’t need it on a daily basis and where I leave there is not a big need for it. I normally rent a car 2-4 days a month on the weekends which is much cheaper. My credit cards provide me with insurance for damage on the car but not for liability, I was thinking that getting a non-owners insurance would be better/cheaper than pay one at the rental Company every time. Any advice on this? Is it worth it? Any non-owner insurance recommendations? Thanks!!
Is 1.68 for a townhouse is expensive for house hold income ~600k? we can do 20% down. I am just nervous as we are in the hook for $7.5k mortgage every month including property tax, hoa and insurance. Just can’t seem to decide or let go!
Which is your preferred company for renter’s insurance? Considering Lemonade due to the low price, but should you just go with the big players? (Geico, State Farm, etc).
Trying to figure out how to manage health issues and work balance. I just recently found out I might have herpes (waiting for the test results to come back) and I have been very and feeling like my life is over especially because it came from being cheated on and struggling with prioritizing my bandwidth and not knowing how to communicate it with my team. Due to stigmas around something as common as herpes I cannot comfortably share that with my team.
Heading into final round at Accenture for Management Consultant - Asset Management on their Cap Markets team. Would love info on benefits package: PTO, 401k, health? Also, posting showed $119k-$166k for CO, if based in Boston what should the expectation be, $130?
I'm at mid-big law. Doing insurance defense. Does the compensation ever get to a point where it's worth it

Need some advice! I'm a recent PhD grad (30 yo) in STEM, and just got some offers from different companies. Particularly, two of them are interesting to me. 1) from a Energy Market Company in Pennsylvania as an Operations Research Scientist, 95k + 15% bonus + very good benefits and generous PTO. It's a very chill job (9-5) with good people but limited opportunity to growth. 2) from a consulting company in NYC as a data science consultant, 130k + 10k signing bonus. Which one you choose? why?
for those of you who have gotten multiple offers from MBB, which did you choose and why? Looking back would you have done the same
Is it worth it to get a professional certification like SHRM/PHR? Not many of my colleagues have one and it’s not a requirement for my role, but I’m curious if it’s worth it in the long run
I had technical interview yesterday on TCS and he said he will send feedback to Manager/HR and they will call me. How long it will take to get that call. Any idea
A contact in my network reached out and is requesting a referral for a role they are not qualified for. How to respond? Don’t want to burn a bridge or be offensive.
SAP FICO Consultants looking out for change may contact me . MBA/CA preferred with at least 3/4 years of relevant experience.
I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.
Interviewing at EY ServiceNow practice with 5 YOE. Should I go for SC or M? What salary range should I be going for?
In an industry where it is a given we will work more than a 9-5, I've heard the key to avoiding burnout is finding the specific type of work that energizes you rather than drains you. Does your practice energize you? If you wake up in the morning excited to put in long hours on that work, please list your area /specialty or what about your work motivates & satisfies you.
@EY, what is the cutoff joing date/month for new joiners to be eligible for that year's annual raise and perf bonus?
Aside from salary, what did you negotiate for? Are bonuses a part of your contract? Did you ask for extra vacay or any other non-monetary benefits? How’d you do it?
Can anyone speak to culture and lifestyle in the VC/EM groups at WSGR and Perkins Coie? Considering a lateral move as a junior. Very unhappy at my firm but I do have it good hours-wise by biglaw standards doing lender-side finance.. nervous about going to a total sweatshop.
I’ve been maxing out my traditional 401k, Roth IRA, and HSA for 3 years now. Should I be looking into Roth 401k contributions? I know strategies vary but want to make sure I’m doing something obviously foolish.
Up for promotion to manager, have an offer to leave Big 4 for a 35% pay bump. Would you try to negotiate if you know others who have jumped to the same company for 15% more?
Got stuck on a horrible project for a year and recently interviewed with another firm in the specialty I am actually interested in.. Keeping fingers crossed.. Team ignored my developmental goals. Just cannot wait for good news, hopefully.. Just want to jump ship affff
