If you work in both kinds of those companies, you would know. Otherwise, bit hard to understand. Brand, talent, diversity, type of work you get, way of working etc. everything is so diff. Worked for one of those companies for 5 yrs before I moved to PwC. So, speaking from experience.
if you have worked on both sides-can you describe the difference wrt non-financial parameters particularly
Biggest difference is culture and processes. I’ve worked on both sides. Initially I was on H1-B. My desi IT firm did not process my green card. When I moved to a Big 4, I had a global deployment opportunity and company processed my green card under EB1. Additionally, day to day processes are much simpler in a big 4 (Time and expense, travel, training opportunities.
Big4 treat you like adult and expect you to be adult - They trust you more, less safety net if you fail, you are more accountable etc
Desi firms on other hand provide some safety net- early in career, great place to learn technical skills, lateral opportunities are limited to move to industry with desi firms
Desi IT firms have strong technical skills, bench strength and they deliver. Big 4 have strong slides and presentation skills and many times they struggle to deliver.
