My first ad job. At the end of my interview, the CD asked me to take off my coat, and I worked there the next 7 years.
Wait that is so heartwarming
Thursday 1: told a friend who works at droga I’m interested in working here
Monday 1: email from recruiter
Tuesday 1: interview with cco 1
Friday 1: interview with cco 2
Monday 2: email from recruiter
Wednesday 2: meeting with two potential creative partners
Thursday 2: job offer
(Monday 3: I accept the job offer)
That was my timeline too. Should have known that was a red flag
My friend recommended me and asked when I could come to an Interview, I said “right now” and took a long lunch. Two or three days later I had an offer; my boss told me that attitude actually got me ahead of the other candidates. Im still working there.
I’ve been hired within a week of receiving an initial times on three separate occasions.
Monday: Agency emails me about setting up an interview
Wednesday: Interview with ECD/CCO
Thursday: Agency gives an offer (I counter)
Friday: Agency presents their second offer (I sign)
CCO found my book, emailed me then to come in to meet in a couple of days. We went to lunch and he left me to meet with some other creatives for like twenty minutes, then the recruiter came by and told me the CCO liked me and they were offering the job. Another time, the recruiter found me and wanted me to meet the CCO when he was in town the next week. I went and we talked about rap for five minutes before he spoke with the recruiter quickly who then spoke with me and told me he said to bring me in regardless of what I wanted. He didn’t even look at my work. That CCO? Was J*rdan P*terson.
For me, less than a week. But this was definitely an exceptional case because I had been in talks with the recruiter for months yet there was no available position when I initially reached out. Luckily I was top of mind when something did pop up, and she liked me so much that when I told her I had 2 other offers she expedited the entire process.
A week and a half and honestly it wasn’t enough time to make a decision. Declined the offer because I felt pressured and like things had moved too fast.
Left work for the interview and had an offer in my inbox by the time I got back
Rising Star
- Posted on fishbowl asking if anyone wanted to refer me to their agency and get a referral bonus
- that day someone offered to
- a few days later i had an interview with the hiring manager
- the next day an interview with the person who referred me (lol)
- a couple days later, had an offer
Whole thing took about a week. Easiest interview process I’ve ever been through.
About 2 weeks.
Recruiter email. Next day chat.
Managing director about two days later.
A couple of peers and direct reports over two days after that.
And then about three days for the CSO, which was more a formality.
Offer the next day. Accepted the day after that. There were maybe two weekends in between all of that.
For an internship, was offered a job without even interviewing. Networked with the hiring manager previously, reached out and handed me the job.
Outside that, once got an offer within 4 business days of the fist interview due to having a different offer in hand.
Talent manager reaches out to me and basically asks: would you like to work here for this amount of money?
Me: No, but I would totally do it for THIS amount.
TM: Hmmm let me check... Ok we could do that.
Me: Ok then.
TM: Welcome!
Me: Thanks.
That was literally it.
These stories are wild. The fastest it’s ever gone for me is a month.
Same. Always took a while for me 😪
