I do the same. Put my bag on the shelf, take my shoes off, and hit the couch for an hour of reading, scrolling, or napping. It's as far from productive as you can get, but after a long day, I think it's deserved.
Teaching is a hard profession. I taught with many people who came from industry and stated teaching was the hardest job they ever had. You are constantly making decisions, thinking about the next period, trying to keep students focused and juggling emails from administrators and parents. Don’t be upset with yourself because you are exhausted at the end of the day. You deserve to rest.
Greet the doggies! Change clothes, and get ready to dine. Then walks and tv and playoff baseball. Go Dodgers!
I have to start preparing dinner and help my own kids with their homework. There’s no such thing as a break or nap time in my world.
When I taught full-time, I also directed all the school plays. So, about 25 weeks out of the year, I was at school until 4:30, or 5:00, or 10:30. I’m talking to my union. I want that back!
I sit down, watch TV for an hour, then walk our doggie!!! We have to take care of ourselves when we get home!!

Kick off my shoes, put my crap down and veg out on the couch for a while.
When my kids were home and not driving, as soon as I got home my husband went to work at his business. I had to be ‘on’ all evening and night. That was hard- 3 sons close in age. Said lots and lots of prayers
