As a result of #metoo, it was revealed that now a lot of male supervisors and councillors are refusing to train/guide their female juniors. Most of them don't want the hassle of being accused of sexual harassment.

No manager should ever yell- is there someone you can talk to about that?
Racialized harassment whether sexual harassment or low key hostility is another. These racist people escalate their low key hostility if we ignore it and smile and do a good job. They want us to know but not know so when we don't validate them with a strong reaction they feel like we've broken some law. Almost all abuse at work features some racialization. When i was sexually harrassed by white men they always ask my race first before propositioning me. Its cruel and I have PTSD. Its basically permenant now. And interviewin is a nightmare. So many racist interviewers. They think they can interrogate us and pretend they're being nice when they're trapping us into a corner. I know how to evade those corners so then they escalate until the frustration nearly boil over on their end.

This is terrible, is there someone you can talk to about these experiences? It sounds like a lot you’ve had to deal with

I never understand why a manager would be disrespectful, surely you want to motivate your colleagues to actually do the work?
Coercive control which is when micromanaging revs up. I've had managers follow me to see where I am. I had to report one for following me to the bathroom. He also passed by my desk 12+ times a day and if someone talked to me he would interrupt with work related questions and 90% of the time, he'd say opps I forgot what I was going to say. Another supervisor wanted to know where I was going each time I got up from my desk. The answer is either 1)private bathroom business or 2)work. I have patients to see and take care of.

This is actually ridiculous, I had a manager that would want to rewrite all my emails before I sent them but this is 10x worse
