As someone that did the pushing (three times), the best gift is being a true partner and parent with her during what will be perhaps the hardest transition in both of your lives. At the hospital, know her plan (and her preferred alternatives) and be her advocate and unwavering support. When you get home, be present and figure out what needs doing without being asked/told. She will be fully consumed with your newborn - she won’t have time for the chores she will once did, you do them without complaint or being asked. Make sure she gets a chance to shower, eat and rest. If you have visitors, take charge of entertaining and make sure they do not overstay their welcome. Hug her when she cries, even if irrationally, and respect it when she says she just cannot be touched, at all. Be a partner and a parent - you and her are on the same team, act like it.
Congratulations in advance, OP. Enjoy the parenthood ride, it’s wild and exhausting but so very worth it.

This.
I didn’t know this was a thing
Same, never heard of it
What does she want? You (hopefully) know her better than strangers on the internet do.

Cartier love bangle. You can get it engraved with their DOB. The point is she never takes it off and it takes bangs and scuffs just like everyday life.

I got my wife the car she wanted when she had our twins, and then upgraded it with our 3rd.

We are trying for our 4th over the next few months and I will have to up my game - honestly I will probably promise a “Mommy Makeover” for after since we’ll be done after this next one and she has expressed a want for it.
Ring stacks are a big thing nowadays (like a wedding band, but one for each kid). I would run it by her though, as jewelry is very much a personal preference.
I’m a recent dad! My wife decided to take it easy on me and only got a pair of earrings that were about $500. I got her a couple of other surprise gifts, but those were not bad (maybe $150 combined).
Best answer is “it depends”, but for generic stuff there is always birthstone tennis bracelet/earrings/rings or a bag from a designer. Highly dependent on spouse and their preferences.
This is a thing … ?
