McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

Deloitte experienced hires, who all received written offers and in process of visa/ onboarding, have you heard back anything about hiring freeze? Or recruiter asked you to delay joining date?
My visa got submitted couple of days back and waiting for decision. When I reached out to recruiter to give her an update and mentioned once there’s decision will discuss on the start date before putting my 2 weeks, she mentioned “Yes, we should talk before you put notice” - Am I overthinking? The recruiter said he will now have

He interviewed for a M role in

Of course as you see can I work at PwC. So don’t have the ability to access dnet
Manager - 80% (1664 client billable hours)
Senior Manager - 70% (1456 client billable hours)
That being said, I do about 2500 hours per year once you add in proposals, other capture activities, interviews/recruiting, etc
I think these numbers are pretty consistent across OPs, but you could always land in a role with heavy hours bc of a major release or tight deadline. Or crazy client.
I've been at the firm 14 years. I don't think the WBL
Or culture is excruciatingly bad - I actually really like it here. Remember that the people who have bad experiences complain the loudest - we don't have people coming on here to rant about how great things are.
There are of course bad pockets of projects or people. But people seem to want to make six figures, be on their dream project, get big bonuses, get promoted fast - and work 40 hours a week.
Just curious, are there sales targets for Deloitte HC managers?
No sales targets for Managers but you do need to show pipeline to make SM. In consulting sales and managed revenue targets start at SM.
