What’s your craziest Zoom story? I once had someone on a town hall use the bathroom mid-meeting and forgot to turn their mic and camera off. I felt so, so bad for them.

Oh man… If that happened to me, I would quit. Thankfully I've never heard anything that bad. But one time my dog was barking at someone walking outside and I was trying to get them to stop but I didn't realize that neither of us were muted 😆 eventually one of the presenters muted us but it was really embarrassing to know that everybody heard me telling my dog to leave the strangers alone

Oh same. I would’ve quit on the spot

But oh man!! That’s tough! 😂 At least someone jumped in to mute you

We were on a client call and my coworker was sharing his screen. He forgot to put his computer on DND before the call and had apparently been in the middle of a very NSFW conversation with his girlfriend when it started. Typing out the message preview that popped onto his screen while he was presenting would probably get me banned from here, so I'm not going to do it, but suffice it to say he turned fuchsia as he was scrambling to minimize it. It was painfully awkward for everyone involved.

OMG!! My absolute worst nightmare!!!

In a meeting where we hadn’t even started yet, but somebody had their mic on and you could hear a lot of personal business, we’ll say. I double and triple check I’m on mute, and I still don’t even say anything after I join.

Eek, so embarrassing. I’m with you, my settings auto mute me when joining calls because I’m terrified of that happening

Nudity.

Early in the pandemic (like first week) I joined a zoom meeting in my living room before I had my full desk/office set up. My roommate at the time didn't realize I was on a video call and came strolling right behind me in nothing but a towel. He IMMEDIATELY dropped to the floor when he realized he could be seen on camera.

One girl in our office was doing a team presentation to folks in our office. Throughout you could hear her husband playing with their dog and getting him excited. She was trying so hard to tune him out.

She ended up muting momentarily to hand it to someone else but forgot to turn off her camera and you could see her going absolute BALLISTIC at her husband for being so distracting during her meeting.

Planning a 10-12 day trip late April / early May. We are looking to spend 3-4 days in a region of Italy and we can’t decide between Cinque Terre and the Amalfi coast. We have the rest of the trip pretty much planned out but are up in the air with these two options. Open to any Pros / Cons or experiences you’ve had!
