Does anyone have any insight into accounting roles at Amazon, particularly in the Arlington/DC area? An Amazon recruiter reached out about accounting roles, but the posts in this bowl are about Seattle. Trying to decide if the culture/wlb/pay is even worth looking into since it sounds like the interview process is intense. Base pay seemed pretty low in other posts, but they were a year old and for Seattle.

Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

I had a new hire asked me how long it took for me to hit six figures… except I still wasn’t there, and they started at $110K. Eye-opening moment.
I haven’t seen a lot of EAs make 6 figures though. If you have lots of years of experience then yea $110k sounds accurate, but I’d say that’s a bit above average. Typically, I’ve seen $70k-90k on average. Not that 6 figures is impossible for that job. Just not typical. But also, I’m sure it varies industry to industry.
OMG nightmares...I recently made a video about my experience finding out I was underpaid $25K, though!
Yea that’s the issue with staying at the same company for too long. Eventually you level up and gain more knowledge, skills, and experience but your salary doesn’t keep up. You still get paid what you were offered in the beginning with yearly 2-3% increases, which isn’t much.
Every few years you gotta scope the market and see what’s out there. Interview and see what kind of offers you’re capable of landing.
