Does anyone have any insights on what a typical Sr. Associate Director makes at Boehringer Ingelheim? I have a range of 170-180k which I think is fair but don’t want to be underpaid. Also, any information regarding retirement planning or medical/dental benefits would be helpful. Haven’t gotten much out of HR. Thanks in advance!

I've never had any luck trying to negotiate non-salary benefits. Like I tried to negotiate some work from home days when I first started my job and they told me no even though my job could be done completely remote.
What do you mean by “travel budget”? Does your job involve work travel? Even if it does, it’s not like you’re negotiating for a personal vacation travel budget lol. It sounds like you would be negotiating for a higher work travel budget, which to me doesn’t make sense to negotiate. In the end, work travel benefits the company more than you. You should be negotiating for things that benefit YOU personally like PTO days, wfh days, health benefits, etc.
When you say travel, do you mean commuting supplements? Because if it’s for work travel… you shouldn’t have to negotiate that.
Things I have negotiated outside of salary:
1. Increased PTO/vacation time
2. Sign on bonus
3. Office location (I like a room with a view!)
4. WFH
5. Responsibilities
6. Company perks (reimbursements/travel)
Learned most of these along the way (but started in my mid-20s).
