When did you stop feeling broke all the time? My salary is decent, but after everything gets taken out of my check (taxes, health insurance, dental) and I pay my $1675 rent, car, groceries, gas... I've got maybe enough for one dinner out. What salary finally changed that for you?

What percentage of your salary is your rent? Is it less than 30% ?

A lot of it is just a matter of learning to be thrifty in one's daily life. I was tossing away money on stuff I didn't need, and I slowly got control of the situation. After I pay my bills I'm not rolling in cash, but I certainly don't feel broke. If I was still ordering in my meals or buying things compulsively, that wouldn't be the case.

When I paid off all my student loans and started making $200k+

3 YOE in Marketing through internships in college, followed by 2 years Financial Operations/Data Tools full-time. I got an offer for $75K at TekSystems for a Market Analyst role. I gave them a range of $70-75K, so they gave the max. But I am questioning asking for a bit more given insurance is apparently on the higher-end and I want to ensure I didn't low-ball myself.

Just to note, this is about a 25% increase compared to what I am currently making.
