I had something similar happen. I once fielded a call from a customer who rambled on about a bunch of stuff and it was hard to make sense of their complaint. About two years later, a coworker was telling me about a call he'd gotten from a customer and it sounded familiar. I said, don't tell me, she went on about... My coworker burst out laughing, it was definitely the same person. Two years had gone by but it was like her complaint was still the top thing on her mind.

Haha! That’s hilarious, it’s like they have a way of finding us again no matter what. It’s funny how some calls just stick with you.
Yes! I had a repeat caller who remembered my name months later and picked up the phone like no time had passed lol. It’s wild how some interactions just stick, for them and for us. It definitely has given me a different understanding of what this job is about, and how much our interactions with customers are affecting their lives and ours. I try a lot harder to win people over now.

That’s such a good perspective! It’s wild how some interactions really stay with people.
Mmm, yes, but far less pleasant. I worked at a lingerie store and we would get several repeat creepy customers.

Oh man, that sounds rough. It’s crazy how some people just don’t get boundaries. Sorry you had to deal with that.
That reminded me of a lady who knew me by my name and i got her call repeatedly 3-4 times and she would ask 1000 questions everytime she would call. It used to be irritating as I would find ways to make the conversation short but she wouldn't stop.
