When the interviewer says "I'll let you know tomorrow/next week/2 wks and never does. In my head I want to send a "YOU'RE WELCOME!" message. I know it's snarky but not even the courtesy of saying "Sorry, you're not it" feels worse than people who walk through the door you're holding without saying Thanks. At the end of the interview they should just say "best of luck on your continued job search, noone will be following up". At least the instant AI sends a generic Not Selected message.

No, I'm right there with you. I would much prefer a million rejections over getting ghosted just once. I can handle rejection, but never hearing back after I went through all of that effort is just layers of disrespect for my time!

Interview after interview and nothing ever comes back on a positive note. I totally agree with you. It’s very frustrating when they say that but never falls through with the truth.

like

My question for you…did you send a thank you email after the interview? If so, then send another email just following up. If you didn’t send a thank you email immediately after the interview, do so now and ask what are the next steps.

Not sure if they’ll respond, at the very least you demonstrated courtesy for them giving you an interview and also shows your interest in the position/company. Good luck

I’ve noticed that HR, when explaining why a candidate didn’t get the job, tend to lean on “You’re great, but we had candidates with more experience in [skill relevant to the job].” I do believe this is true in some cases, but it can’t possibly be for all of them.

HR folks — what feedback have you obscured by offering that line instead?

Question on UK visa-
My partner will be traveling often to London, once a month for an year starting September. He is getting his visa through work (10 years, multiple entry, 6 months max stay, cost some $1000).

I have applied for standard tourist visa in the past and they are usually short term. It could be max 6 months, but they see your itinerary and allocate you few months around the itinerary

Is there a way to get 6 months multiple entry visa, if I were to join him once in a while.

Currently a first year staff in Risk Advisory in a Mid-Tier Firm hoping to move to Big 4 for either Risk or Cyber. When would be the most appropriate time to make the change? I heard that Senior Staff in mid-tier would most likely be hired as an “Experienced Hire” in Big 4. So would it be smarter to make the move now as a first year staff since I’ll be considered Experienced Hire anyway?
