Sitting on offer for $120k, excellent benefits and only 40-50% travel. 3+ YOE. How do those of you with families deal with the FOMO of that extra ~20% pay you could get at more like 80% travel?
I haven't worked in consulting long enough to know if I like it (3 months). Have yet to travel, make my own slide decks, or work 50+ hr weeks. However, I just received an offer for IB. Do I stay or leave?
Thoughts on selling delta calls today and rebuying during the pullback when premiums are lower?

I’m starting to travel for work next week. Which airline do you recommend? Also, which hotel brand?
To the two Publicis guys sitting in front of me on this American Airlines flight to Chicago, stop bragging about never taking a sick day and coming in even when you have the flu... 🙄
Business etiquette question: when traveling with your boss is it okay to ride your boss's coattails with regard to airline status. For example, he gets free checked bags so he will check mine with his to get higher unloading priority and to save the company a few shekels. I also use the priority lines with him when we need to go to the airline counter and when we board the plane. I am American & travel mostly to latin American countries (since feelings towards queues might change on culture).
8 o'clock meeting in the client site, caught an early flight and planned to get some sleep on the flight. The fucking baby next to me started crying his lungs out. FML.
Getting married in US and most of the family won’t be able to travel from India to US due to ban. Thinking of sending gifts from US to India for family back there. Any suggestions on gift ideas?
Has anyone seen the new United Airlines campaign? The one about how there’s only 5% of women are represented in museums so they a female artists paint their airplanes where no one can see their art?
Looks like my credits score/history is screwed as I was away from US for 3 years. I have no loans and only 1 credit card. They couldn’t increase the limit beyond 6K. What do I need to do to come back in the good books?

What’s everyone’s summer (May-Sept) working hours - assuming you don’t have a 6/30 year end client. The partners expectation is 8-6:30 and logging on from home after that some days. Is that insane?
How can I find an internship in health informatics? I am studying masters in health informatics and currently in my fourth semester. Going to one of HSW. If I decide to stay in consulting (potentially long term), is it worth forgoing a B4 sponsorship to try for MBB?
Can FIRE pros help me balance limiting expenses today vs extending retirement plans, specifically in high comp trajectory careers. Assumptions (model B4 career): Year1 comp - 75k Yr5 - 150k Yr10 - 300k Yr15 - 500-600k Why would I sacrifice n limit my expenses in Yr1 - 5 when I have high comp expectations? Saving an extra 10k in Yr1 is a sacrifice (high marginal utility if u spend that 10k), even if it’s worth 40k by Yr15, that’s only an addl 1 month of work at Yr15 vs full yr of sacrifice in Yr1
Is it true Mck on hiring spree?
Tricare insurance claims auditors. Who are they? Who are they accountable to? I am fighting some claims against them.
Just accepted an offer from a former client at an exciting company - Joining the corporate strategy team after 5 years in consulting post mba. I doubled my comp in cash before equity - which is flattering / exciting - but also a lot of pressure … a bit worried they expect me to come in and be a wizard. Any tips / advice?
I’m thankfully hitting my hours, but my firm keeps passing non-billable work my way. I am grateful for the opportunities, but this type of work always seems to find its way to the female associates at my firm. We have been told that non-billable work is irrelevant in terms of our annual hours. Any tips on how to navigate this in a thoughtful way? I want to be a team-player, but I believe that others need to step up to the plate.
We have a trip to Miami planned in two weeks. Just saw that Florida is averaging 20,000 cases day of mostly the delta variant. Super bummed as we’re both vaccinated and hopefully was going to get away, but looks like we may have to change plans. 😭
Hi, Consulting Moms! I need advice - I am leaving industry to return to consulting. I have offers from KPMG and Deloitte, and we are looking to start a family ASAP (we have been actively trying and I have a feeling it would be just my luck to start a new job and find out I’m pregnant). Would love your insight around personal experience with hours per week, work-life balance, culture, etc. Offers are same level/role/scope (Change Management / Transformation / Human Capital) and same salary. TY!
Is it possible to find a 6 figure, FULLY REMOTE, solid 9-5, no work over the weekend job? 2.5 YOE. Tired of consulting and want to see if there are any options out there.
I recently got married and started talking to my sister in law more often. She addresses me as “Bro” EVERY SINGLE TIME. She knows I identify as female. I absolutely hate because it’s a sign of deeply ingrained patriarchy and I also find it disrespectful. I never address anyone as bro, dude, man etc because I honestly find it very disrespectful. I would rather be addressed by my name. How can I handle this situation? We are still forming a reltnship & don’t want to hurt that process. I’m Indian.
Is Peloton really worth it? How many people lost weight using this? Would you recommend? I need to loose so much weight ( baby weight ). This WFH is not helping 🤯😳
Hope it’s ok to share this here — figured we all love dogs and might have some Alaska miles going stale 💜
My team is trying to find a better way to track talent. We have an ATS we like for everything but tracking the talent pipeline. Anyone have good one off tools they use for talent pipeline tracking? Even better if it integrates with Microsoft Teams.
