Hey folks
I got a call from TCS to interview for a new unit formed within org with the name of Business Transformation Group as per new org restructuring. Anyone from TCS who can help to understand more about this?
Does it cater to only niche technologies or how does this actually function?

How early is too early to ask for a raise?
Hi there! Interviewing w/Amazon for a non-tech role (Associate Category Manager aka Associate Buyer) and was asked what my salary requirements are for base+bonus+equity. Can anyone share insight on what Amazonians make in this role. I have 4 YOE and glassdoor is not very helpful.
Any feedback is appreciated 🙏 Amazon

By the time the offer comes in, you’ve likely already set your salary expectations. I like to be extremely vague up front. Tell them it’s a little lower than you’d expected and ask for whatever you think is reasonable. Maybe 5% at the analyst level. The truth is, the market isn’t great and unless you’re specialized they might go with their second choice if you are too much more expensive or worse case is they chose you bc the other guy was too expensive. Always push on PTO and sign on if you’re missing out on some bonus. Also - wait until after the negotiation and say - would you be willing to evaluate my performance next year to pull me up a level if I have a measurable impact
There are several variables here - and a lot depends on how much homework you did to start to present a good number to begin with. I've learned over time and grown my range to compensate.
I've countered at 10% unsuccessfully. I had perfectly legit comps for health insurance and current company retirement match that more than nullified the small raise the new company offered. They declined to raise the offer and I walked.
It depends. If I’m being offered a salary at the higher end of the band, then I won’t ask for much of an increase or might not counter at all.
Ultimately it depends on how good the offer was and how close it was to my desired pay. If they come with an offer that I would have wanted, I usually ask for about 5%. If they didn't even get close, I'll get a little bit more risky with my ask.
I normally do 10% unless the offer is already higher than I was expecting
