Hi All, Today I've resigned and my LOD is 2 Sept. Can anyone please let me know for these 90 days salary would be credited only after FnF. Or June'22 salary will be credited as usual, however, July and September salary would be credited during FnF. Please confirm or suggest.

Against it. Only the state of Texas has the authority to legalize marijuana or abortion. What is being described is prosecutorial discretion… basically ignoring or refusing to enforce existing law which is it’s own problem IMO.
Additionally the SAPD does not use “chokeholds” or “no-knock” warrants, those things are included because they’ve been associated with high profile incidents in other cities and evoke a strong emotional reaction.
Cities that have taken similar approaches to “criminal justice reform”, such as refusing to enforce prosecutions of “low-level” crimes have seen the cities impacted in extremely negative ways and the very people these supposed reforms are intended to help, are getting crushed by explosions in violence, violent crime and increased crime in general as well as increased poverty with lower standards of living. See San Francisco, Chicago, Portland, New York City, etc for recent examples.
While at face value these things seem compassionate and innocuous, you have to look at the actual impact, not the stated good intentions. In my opinion it would be a massive loss for the city, especially among our lower income brothers and sisters.
The are rational and legitimate conversations to be had about how “we” as a city can address these things, but ignoring the rule of law and order is not one of them. Again, all said above is in my humble opinion alone.
It will take a few years for everybody to finally realize what the overturn of Roe v. Wade means to society in general. Because right now it’s too early to tell, but I can tell you forcing women to have children or having them go to clinics for abortions that are “underground“ puts everybody’s lives in danger, and it puts additional strain on society. All the lawmakers care about is the fetus. Once the child is born, they can give a rats ass about that child.
Many lawmakers do not fund adoption, after school care, schools, in order to take care of the children that are already in the system let alone hundreds of thousands more to come.
It seems like a transparent attempt to pander to one side of the purple divide while pissing off the other.
While still not actually accomplishing anything.
Perfect political theatre.
I do wonder if it will pass, especially with Abbott and the policies he likes to push forward in the press. I'm all for letting others making decisions on what they consume or what medical procedures they need so long as it does not harm someone else.
I agree with it in theory, not sure if I agree with its execution personally. Curious to see how it fares on the ballot though
I am for it. But I think at the very least it serves to prove a point here. The Republican party that screams “no big government” is doing the absolute most right now and has ironically become Big Government.
