Hi, I'm leaving Citi in 2 months. It's hard to make this decision. I have an offer from a small startup. In citi, my previous experience was not considered and was reskilled to different tech which is the reason for change.I don't like to exit citi. As I like the company so much. But considering my current knowledge,I am in the middle of the sea.I am afraid now that the new company's offer would be revoked due to this recession?Or can I take back my resignation in citi before the last working day.Is this wise decision?

The answer should be the one you live in, don't make the location be the reason you find success.
I say pick where you want to live forever, go there and work hard; if people can make it in the desert and others can make it in the woods while others do just fine online - pick where YOU want to be.
Success isn't about where you live. Rather it's about the connections you build, how diligent you are in sticking with your mission-vision-action plans, and how you distinguish yourself through your value proposition.
I've coached/worked with Advisors who became multi-million dollar practices in small towns of less than 20,000 people and I've seen Advisors who couldn't open 30 accounts in Chicago.
I echo your peers, find a place that resonates with who you are and where you feel you can connect with the people and the community.
Your success will depend on your activity and how you answer "why should I put my money with you?".
ED1 is correct. I know producing teams in upstate NY that do well over 15M/yr in production and there are plenty of FAs that can’t make it in LA.
I echo the aforementioned comments. Go where you want to spend most of the rest of your life. There’s tremendous wealth almost everywhere in this country. Your success isn’t dependent on your location, your employer, or the market. It’s a combination of hard work, intelligence (common sense really), and some luck certainly. It’s the greatest job in the world - help people while making good money. If you don’t love it, you likely won’t make it.
