Which one to choose between Optum and Tiger Analytics for Data Scientist position? Where can I expect better data science domain expertise (In my previous companies I found very less understanding of Data Science practices as team)? Heared good things about both of these. Also hearing Tiger is expanding rapidly and getting some crap projects as well in the name of data science. Could someone put light on these things?

This is how meetings have been for me this year. In year’s past it was not like that.
Top 25 here as well. I just don’t get this self righteous form of leadership. Telling partners with 20, 25, 30 years experience that they basically suck and how to properly serve clients. Maybe I’m just getting old and salty but not sure how one is supposed to come out of one of these and then go be all positive and motivating with the lower levels.
Come to PwC. Our partner meetings are not like that at all
On a local level or firm wide level? I agree firm wide tend to be more positive but feel like local level tend to be more defeating
I’m a Deloitte tax partner. For my experience, I’ve never felt this way or seen this. Sorry to hear about this for you.
All levels. I’ve never been in that situation. I’m BTS, and so generally we perform well, but still crazy for you.
GT Tax Parter here, same as P1. Sorry to hear, that would be demoralizing.
Is the beat down your feeling a growth target or profitability or both?
Are you a rainmaker? If so, I think you’re well within your rights to (appropriately and respectfully) tell leadership that things must change or you’re out. Life’s too short.
OP - are you big four or non big four?
P4. Not baker Tilly. Lower mid tier but for obvious reasons don’t want to say.
Among the litany of reasons that I’m thrilled to be retired (B4 - hit mandatory age 60 two years ago), the nonsense you all have mentioned might just top the list. What kept me “sane” in 25 years as a partner (audit) was that my book was always one of the largest in my practice and I generally had good success in winning work over the years. You do those things and “they” tend to leave you be.
