I must have misunderstood. How much in assets do you have to bring over immediately? What do you average in new AUM per month? Do you have your CFP? If you are looking for a good payout I would try to find a local Indy and see if you can add value to them. If you aren't producing up to their levels see if you can come in as an assistant/ junior level advisor. You may be able to get a salary that way.
EJ OP, all these firms have high turn over and almost all are always hiring even if they say they're not lol. @and if anyone here knows of a firm where people help you and/or pay attention to you please name it
This got salty
Where is all the wonderful Edward Jones training and nurturing we always hear so much about? Shouldn’t they be helping you build your business? Don’t they train you up to hit your numbers?
Sounds like you would fail anywhere
Go sell cars or get an elote stand. In all seriousness, it sounds like sales is not your thing.
Go to a bank so that "clients come to you" or go into health care sales like devices or pharma.
Lol elote is a Mexican rendition of grilled corn typically sold on a street corner with mayonnaise lime juice and chili powder. Quite good actually.
Also occasionally served with fried crickets on top. Adds protein.
Sounds like you've only been in production for a month or so. You'd be best served staying at Jones and learning the ropes. Jones also has an extremely competitive pay structure for getting started with salary and new asset bonuses.
Fa3 what he's describing is a 17 week program that's part of the training. If you don't hit your numbers by then which are very easy to hit they figure you will never make it so they cut ties early. And the new asset bonus is huge if you're bringing in assets. 4$ a thousand so that's 40,000 in bonuses if you bring in 10 mil. Most people that don't make it out of the 17 weeks never put in the effort to build their pipeline.
If you can find a good local bank, go to them and make your own terms if they don’t have a program in place. If they do, get a small salary and start building your book with bank customers.
The trolling on fishbowl is epic, might as well be Facebook...
I just want to go back to a straight commission firm, pick my clients carefully, bring over the people I have, enjoy my practice again and lose the cookie cutter portfolio and corporate crap.
FA2 you're a real sweetheart, FA5 not long.
You could check the ameriprise office near you. If they are a franchise office they may bring you in as a afa with some automity.
Is that 375k production or assets under care....?
AUC
Agreed. Unless you’re about to get fired, eat up that salary they give you and keep building a book you can transfer.
I'm about to be fired for not being able to transfer in 260 by Friday .
And there is nothing extremely competitive about My Jones Salary, the split or the bonus. I'm accustomed to payouts for commission only. I like jones, but I think I was put in the wrong office and the wrong region my experience is quite different from others.
I have a pipeline, And a good book of clients. What I have is a 90/10 split with a 36k salary.
