Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

I don't have a great solution, I just suck it up and get to work. I don't enjoy my job, but I really don't have any other choice but to continue working until something better comes along..

I totally get that. Sometimes you just have to push through and keep going until better opportunities arise.
I think with the economic conditions the way they are it is too risky to quit a bad situation for a lot of people. Especially in the US where you lose your health insurance if you leave a job. Many people don’t have the savings to cover a gap in income.
I would have 2 questions to ask you… 1. Why is it so risky to quit? 2. What is it about the work culture that you find toxic? At the end of the day, we each have our own appetite for risk and moving from one job to another will be risky but there are things we can do to mitigate that risk. It might be that you feel you can’t afford to take the risk and if so, is there anything you can change about your working environment which is within your control?

I completely agree. Quitting without a backup is risky, especially with healthcare tied to jobs and limited savings for most.
