Why exactly did D-Rose get his number retired? He didn’t win the Bulls a championship, he got them to the playoffs.

Is it just because he’s from Chicago?

IMO he didn’t contribute enough to the organization to have his number retired. Unless we’re discussing knee health.

He won the MVP. But it does feel like we’re overly celebrating an era where we weren’t good enough, and now we’re completely mired in mediocrity.

I’ll also never forget Rose being cleared to play and refusing to come back because he had his idiot brother telling him not to.

I was born at the end of the 3 peat, so was obviously too young to experience any of it. The Rose years were fun, but it was so frustrating being so close but not able to get over the hump. Thought we were getting Bosh, Wade, or maybe even LeBron and ended up with Carlos Boozer.

And then the injury and everything that followed was depressing. He really could’ve come back a lot sooner too. Russell Westbrook had the same injury at the same time as him and didn’t derail his career. Rose also famously refused to recruit other players to come here and said it’s “not his job.”

Found a random engagement ring.

Hi all, so I found a platinum ring (which I assumed it's an engagement ring as it has dates and initials engraved on top.) And a Divvy tag (I have no idea what it was until I googled it. Apparently it's a bike sharing service in Chicago) in a briefcase I ordered online. I was thinking of returning the item back to the store but that wouldn't help the person who lost the ring. Attached is a picture of them.

How do people afford to buy $1M houses in Chicago? Surely not everyone buying them is rich (which is somewhat of a subjective term). My wife and I are 30 and have a combined income of almost $300k and trying to buy something that expensive seems asinine yet people do it. Am I missing something?
