I survived a layoff round recently, and from what I saw, salary wasn’t always the deciding factor, roles tied to revenue and critical functions were safer. It's the difference between need-to-have and nice-to-have.
Salary is not a factor with layoffs. It’s does your role provide a necessity. Can that necessity be done by less people? If the answer is yes, you’ll likely be a candidate for the chopping block
If the revenue goes down and investors want operating profits, they will cut those with the highest salaries as much as possible.
That cost more that's nuts to train and take on ?? Could be a diamond 💎 we don't know? I don't like many options w 401ks etc so I use Charles Schwab and have advisors and obviously brokers on big deals. So using the tool of hanging money over their head 🤔 which most ppl loose due to the lack of knowledge about how that works. Sobits more of a gain for you. It's hard to please everyone and create a good organization that has the same common work interests not quite all aligned. It sounds good but for me it's not. Maybe instead of blanket Roth, or pooled options what a joke. Give them their money, and teach them how it works. Find ppls strengths instead of worrying or wasting time on what ifs correct? I think the best way is honestly giving them the tools of they choose to navigate great. If they don't...well idk ??? Not who I would consider Einstein for sure ....oh not I get.... it the nice to go, and need to go......theory. it's an art so there is no wrong or right way. Just have the balls to ask at least w a plan . Js
