With so many massive corporations (Amazon, Dell, etc.) forcing people to RTO, isn't it a great opportunity to attract top talent by offering remote work? It seems like a no-brainer, but how would you pitch this idea to get support for it?

The thing is I'm based in a different city (southern U.S.)

My question is:

When it comes time to talk compensation, should I base the market rate for the role on my city of residence or NY?

Would it make sense to ask them directly how they determine comp for NY-bases vs. other city-based employees?

Anyone have experience with this?
