Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

Not going to lie but yes, I do feel quite a bit of concern especially long-term into 2028. We're owned by a holding company who's wrapping up a major $13B merger and then in approximately 2 years, the CEO of the holding company will be retiring. I've already made it through two to three rounds of layoff over the past few years and consider myself blessed to have survived that. In preparation for potential further upheaval in the next 2 years, I've been reading annual reports, stock projections, and any public data available regarding the holding company. I'm also observing changes in organizational culture. Staying aware of what's going on is how I'm prepping.

Yea staying aware is key especially with how quickly things are changing both internally and in terms of the overall job market. Have you started to put any feelers out there to move to a different organization if you're already a bit shaky with how things are turning out where you currently are?
I am hearing from loved ones that a lot of people are getting laid off, so I have started doing some prep, like creating freelancing accounts and even a dog sitting app my friend told me about. You never know!

Yea those are all great backups to build a safety net of money to draw from if anything happens. Not to mention that freelancing now could help you build a client base to work with if you're ever in between jobs
I'm very worried. My company has already gone through a round of layoffs. I haven't been affected yet, but there's nothing guaranteeing that'll be true 6 months from now. I'm in the process of updating my resume so I can start sending out applications if and when that comes to pass. I'm also going to try to start freelancing again so that if I do get laid off, I'll at least have some money coming in to tide me over between jobs.

Yea that's smart. You can never be too safe now and it's a good idea that you're starting to freelance again if worse comes to worse. Wishing you the best in these tumultuous times
Not going to lie, I have been worried about layoffs for the past six months. I have avoided them successfully until now. But the dark cloud does loom over us every day.

Yea I feel you on that. It feels like everything is on this ice as of late so hoping that it doesn't come but need to prepare as if it will so that it doesn't hit as hard
