We have had some shut down days for the weather in the past, talking extreme cold or snow conditions. I could count on one hand how many there have been. It is lenient though, if you feel like you can’t or shouldn’t try to make it in, then don’t. Right now, predictions of only a few inches, but who knows.
We are always expected to come in unless there's like a serious weather condition that would make us unsafe (blizzard, tornado, etc). The little bit of snow we got and the colder temps is definitely not going to give us a snow day this week, unfortunately
We always come in to work. There may be delays due to snow plows and reduced speeds, but it is usually expected to be in the office. If there are extenuating circumstances, then PTO is used.
In Alabama, we are pretty dry so we will still be going in. Last year in snowed while it was this cold and everything shut down for like a week!
