Working with model systems has taught me how powerful—and limited—they can be. Findings in mice or cell lines don’t always translate cleanly to human biology, which can be frustrating after years of work. It’s a constant reminder of complexity. How do you balance model convenience with translational relevance in your research? I'm also curious what kind of models exist in other fields.

I work in behavioral health so I don’t worry about these type of translational work but how interesting!

I have worked on oracle in the past but now am fully into SAP. Should I take this project or wait until Jan for SAP project?

Today is supposed to be our “day off.” I always laugh when I see emails announcing special days off. What’s even funnier are the reminders about “half days.” Hilarious.

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?
