Has anyone left PwC while they still had an outstanding Educational Support Program repayment agreement? What is the repayment process like? Am I required to pay back the amount in full the day I leave the firm or is there the ability to do a repayment agreement? I’m looking at new opportunities and would like to have my new firm take on the amount of the tuition agreement ($14,000) but don’t know how much that might limit my options.

Let me get this straight… you’re being asked to move to pharma. Coincidentally, the only agencies hiring for the last few years and for the foreseeable future are pharma, yet you’re deciding not to get paid to learn and transition to the only side of the business that pays well and of which there are jobs?
Countless unemployed ad people would give anything to have this opportunity.
It’s worth considering. Or at least doing it until the job market recovers (if ever) and you can jump ship to something non-pharma.
Good luck.
State depends too
But rejecting an account and preferring to be unemployed? How bad is that account?
Agree with prior comments. A lack of interest in working on an account could be grounds for unemployment denial, especially if you have the required skills. If you don’t have the skills, that could be different. But a lack of interest in the account…tricky, unless you’re senior and have already done the hard yards and shown you’re a superstar employee.
This situation sounds like you’re being given work but refusing it. I’ve had employees tell me they don’t want to work in certain sectors for ethical reasons and I’ve tried to accommodate. But when they’ve said something like “I know the fashion industry but only want to work on Chanel or Prada” I’ve told them that’s not their decision.
Good luck though - and be happy you have a job. The industry is contracting and jobs are fewer.
The job market is garbage right now, you might want to hang in there for a bit longer.
Your reason for unemployment needs to be the same as the employer’s response for why you were laid off, fired, or otherwise. If it isn’t, you can submit an appeal. Your appeal is more likely to result in success if you submit the appeal and indicate you have an employment lawyer’s representation. The employer will likely not show up to court.
As for if your specific situation will result in receiving unemployment, it’s impossible to say without all details from both parties. Hope this helps.
Speculation, not a lawyer, etc: but unless they fire you with cause, you should be alright.
Likely would not qualify as you essentially self terminated yourself.
Likely not. What state
I got put on a terrible account after the agency lost the business I was on. But I’m still just happy to have a job. I wouldn’t be so picky in the is job economy. I’d rather be employed than not
