So embarrassed. I literally had one job to do today which was to schedule a client and give and take her paperwork when she came in. Totally called her by the wrong name today AND gave her the wrong paperwork. She was really nice about it but I feel like my boss was disappointed and I'm disappointed in myself. I have never pulled the "racism" card ever in my career but do any of you feel like you constantly have to be better/more intelligent/and work harder than any of your white counterparts just to be acknowledged? After 15 years of a successful career in public acctg, I still feel like I am constantly getting the "book" thrown at me by superiors and clients as well. Its getting old....
