Does anyone have any experience with NJ mini-COBRA for small businesses? Trying to find an answer to a few questions and coming up empty: (1) what are the penalties for failure to send continuation notice (federal COBRA is $100/day, but don’t see anything in NJ statute or case law); (2) if an employee is terminated for cause are they eligible and must they receive the continuation notice?
