My wife is in sales at Mercedes and she has been averaging $200k a year and growing YoY. She loves her job, however she works long days and barely gets time off. We plan on having kids within the next year or two, and it’s highly u likely that she’ll be able to keep her current gig. We want to find a career that allows her to work remote or that at least gives her a better work life balance so that she can see her kids grow up. Should she get certifications to give her a shot at adtech?Too late?

How many yrs of exp in sales? Any other exp? Degree? Skills ?

like

Definitely skip the degree if she's staying in sales. Starting in tech sales fully remote will be slightly challenging but not impossible. If not fully remote, perhaps she gets in office for the short term to ramp up with fully remote as the end goal? Sales people are always needed. She's going to be just fine.

Let's talk. We are hiring nationwide. Looking to fill positions quickly. You can work entirely from home and make much more than what she is currently making.

like

I am interested as well. Would love to talk. I’m in almost an identical position as the original poster.

I don['t think it's too late for a move. See if there's something that can leverage her current experience.

Would she be open to going into management?

Managers work longer hours than their sellers in that industry. You’re almost on call during your time off.

Look into Data Analytics. Super high demand and mostly remote and high paying. It’s worth it to see your kids grow up because it happened so fast. You won’t regret it.
