Would you stay at a toxic company for the advancement opportunities just to “get your foot in the door” of a new role? I’ve been in my current job for about a year, it’s a small company and they have said there will be a lot of opportunities for advancement as they continue to grow. I have a great chance at the promotion and have been told I’m being considered when things open, but the culture is terrible. No support whatsoever and constant turn over. I’m torn between leaving or staying.

I’d like to better understand if it’s better to stay in consulting with a well-defined career path or to move to Google/Facebook/Amazon with a good level and having the consciousness of being promoted is really hard.

Anyone heard anything or have some advice about someone breaking into tech sales with no degree? I have a family member that is really struggling to get by working retail and I’m trying to help him pivot into a career he is interested that I think will get him to a live-able wage if he’s patient. Any advice or point into potential companies would be greatly appreciated!

What certifications can I earn to increase my market value coming out of college? I have been looking at the curriculums for Harvard Business School's Master of Business Administration and Harvard Extension School's Master's in Management. They both have the same requirements, generally speaking, including a field immersion course that serves as a capstone in the Master's in Management, which is fairly new. If I am not able to gain admission to Harvard Business School, but wanted a similar educational experience to become a consultant, should I attend Harvard Extension?

I went through two rounds of interviews for
a job that the posting stated $36.66 per
hour (FP&A Analyst)…the company
recruiter had told me in the initial call the
pay could be 32-36 because of the other
benefits. If I do get a job offer what range
should I try for? I was really hoping to get
around the 36-40 but now I feel like they
may try to offer lower than what was
posted. Also there was no range but the
average for this position is upper 70s-90k.
