Had a call with a recruiter at VMLY&R in Atlanta, then a Zoom interview their ECD a few weeks ago. Haven’t heard a peep from them, but did see the job reposted on LinkedIn.

I believe I was just ghosted by 2 different recruiters within a 3 hour window. Is that some sort of record? Do I get a prize?

What’s worse than getting ghosted by email? Getting ghosted on LinkedIn. It baffles my mind to see ad agency HR and talent recruiters NOT accept connection requests. Why are you even on LinkedIn?

Tfw a recruiter reaches out and asks if you’re around for a chat... Only to never respond to you again after you say yes. Just, why?!

I’ve been ghosted so many times the past few years, when I get contacted by recruiters nowadays I basically assume I’ll not hear back from them. So far I’ve been 99.9% right. 🤷‍♂️

Sadly a lot of recruiters are unemployed and being ghosted themselves.

Hopefully this pandemic will open the eyes of some on the practice of ghosting...

Ghosting when given real next steps...why? This wasn’t over the phone or email. Actual in person interview. Ugh

Gmails “nudge” feature does a real good job in reminding who’s ghosting me at the moment.

Lucky Generals. I was ghosted after an in person coffee interview and promises of setting up a meeting with the other founders. Just found out another pal of mine had the same experience with them!

Ellen Curaba sent me an email to schedule a call. Didn’t hear from her. Sent two follow up emails and no answer. No answer to LinkedIn messages. Seen her posting on LinkedIn nearly every day. 🤷‍♂️

Scale of 1-10, how crazy is it to check-in email the CDs you interviewed with? Unless there’s been a terrible accident I’m pretty sure the recruiter is ghosting me. The not knowing is killing me!

Acronym NYC was a nightmare to try to get feedback/move the process along

The recruiter for freelance at Havas is the worst. She’ll email and ask for my availability then ghost. Also brought me in for an interview & didn’t even tell them I freelanced there before.

Anyone else get ghosted by more than one recruiter at the same agency? Thought I would have better luck when the first recruiter who was notorious for ghosting left but the new one ghosted me too...

Flew from London to the US for a two day interview marathon. Had one call with HR two weeks later where I was told they were gathering feedback and would get back to me asap. Never heard back. (contd)

Ghosting after on-site interviews is despicable. Recruiting has been a part of my job for years in addition to resourcing & project management, and I would always manage to reply emails.
