Ghosting after on-site interviews is despicable. Recruiting has been a part of my job for years in addition to resourcing & project management, and I would always manage to reply emails.

Ive got a hedge fund research interview at an asset manager coming up. Spec is to contribute towards manager selection, research HF strategies, emphasis on both quantitative and qualitative research.

Anyone know what kind of skills they might be looking for? Particularly on the quant side as i have less experience there

What companies in India only take about 2-3 rounds of interview? Which companies have the quickest interviewing process in India?

(Especially for Data analyst / Data science roles)

Is it a norm to send a thank you note through your recruiter? I had an iffy interview, and wondering if I bother sending a thank you note. It was very clear that they were trying to do a stress interview so I feel weird saying the usual nice things.

Hey all, I’ve recently joined EY consulting from another Big 4 and have noticed there’s no discipline (at least in my team) around codes and charging time. People either charge a standard 7 hrs or some will charge time spent on internal activities to their client code.

I was told that “the last person to charge their actual hours worked was promptly booted off the project”.
Just wondering:
1) Is this a general cultural point accross all Consulting teams? Will challengin this get me in trouble?

I have a LOT of credit card debt. It has just grown over time and I can’t find my way out. I’m considering debt consolidation, specifically a company called National Debt Relief which seems legit but I’m just so hesitant because I’m scared to make my situation worse. Or a personal loan to pay off all the CC debt and then have a smaller all in one payment. I’m intelligent and I work in finance, it’s so embarrassing. HELP.

My firm’s IT (especially system saving and file locating function) is so bad 😐😞 and they keep doing updates no one asked them for just to mess with the stuff we already got a hang of without doing anything about the issues we actually need fixed. Anyone else in a similar boat? Do you bill the client for the time it takes to fix the IT issue (or IT inefficiency generally, like time taken to find a file in a convoluted system)? An in-house recruiter from Publicis reached out two months ago asking for my avails to chat. I responded within a few hours and it’s been crickets...

The recruiter for freelance at Havas is the worst. She’ll email and ask for my availability then ghost. Also brought me in for an interview & didn’t even tell them I freelanced there before.

We get it, ghosting happens. But has it ever happened to you repeatedly by the same person? Cashmere Agency in LA calls me relentlessly and then ghosts me just as relentlessly. Sales Force has done it two or three times as well. I can’t help but laugh and think about how it feels like getting a text from an ex—this didn’t work out before remember? It’s only been a month I’m still me.

Flew from London to the US for a two day interview marathon. Had one call with HR two weeks later where I was told they were gathering feedback and would get back to me asap. Never heard back. (contd)

Had what had to be the best call with a recruiter I’ve ever had — she seemed so excited to pass my work to her teams, received the sweetest follow up email from her, but now it seems like she’s ghosting me. Lucky Generals. I was ghosted after an in person coffee interview and promises of setting up a meeting with the other founders. Just found out another pal of mine had the same experience with them!

Sadly a lot of recruiters are unemployed and being ghosted themselves.
