My natural instinct is to assume rejection if I have conflict with a partner or don’t think my feelings are reciprocated. I’ll try to bring it up with them, but I’ll say “if you want to end this feel free” so it doesn’t hurt me (and they can say what they really mean instead of sugarcoating). Someone told me today that they just assume I’m not interested because I always seem to “run” but I’m not sure how to bring up problems/feelings otherwise. How do you approach these hard questions?

I need some advice from advisors who have brought other “Junior” Advisors on. What is a fair split? Currently I have passed on my smaller clients to them, as well as providing consistent leads for them to call and meet with. The individual is working to build their own book of business, but up to now doesn’t have much production. They have only been in the business for about 2 years. Have you seen women wear ties and "masculine"-looking suits to work? Was it accepted by client and team? I've never worn a tie to work, but when I've worn clothing that had a more "masculine" fit either in grad school or some work environments, I've gotten comments and looks, or sometimes asked (or people gossiped) about my orientation. When I wear more "feminine"-looking clothing, I feel more more uncomfortable and awkward. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Scale of 1-10, how crazy is it to check-in email the CDs you interviewed with? Unless there’s been a terrible accident I’m pretty sure the recruiter is ghosting me. The not knowing is killing me!

Lucky Generals. I was ghosted after an in person coffee interview and promises of setting up a meeting with the other founders. Just found out another pal of mine had the same experience with them!

Gmails “nudge” feature does a real good job in reminding who’s ghosting me at the moment.

Email response from a resume submission requesting times to chat and that she's " really looking forward to speaking with me." Three email replies later - crickets. I'm so tired of this shit...

Tfw a recruiter reaches out and asks if you’re around for a chat... Only to never respond to you again after you say yes. Just, why?!

We get it, ghosting happens. But has it ever happened to you repeatedly by the same person? Cashmere Agency in LA calls me relentlessly and then ghosts me just as relentlessly. Sales Force has done it two or three times as well. I can’t help but laugh and think about how it feels like getting a text from an ex—this didn’t work out before remember? It’s only been a month I’m still me.
