As a reward for my students who are striving to get their assignments completed before next Wednesday, I want to play a movie. The problem solving many movies are either boring or full of things that are not school appropriate. If you were letting your Middle School students watch a movie, what you let them watch?

Check online and see if there are any worksheets that go with a movie. That might give you an idea of what is age appropriate. If you are a business teacher see if there are any movies that would tie in with young people and business. That way you are still teaching your subject. Or if you can find one that
T teaches some kind of lesson that would be age appropriate.

This is a good thing. That way I can it relevant to my class materials.

This is a good one. PG 13. I would suggest you watch first to see if your kids would understand. There are also worksheets online.

I haven't seen this one. My kiddo's grown up and it is hard to know what's good or not.

Modern Times or The Great Dictator. Kids don't get to see a lot of classic stuff, so an intro to Chaplin would be good. There's enough comedy to keep them engaged. And there are things to talk about afterward, of course.

I'll look it up and see what it is like. Thanks.

I love that Martian survival movie. I think that there is a school version.

So, I decided to take them outside tomorrow as a reward. Except for the one class that has 35% missing assignments-the get to stay in and work.

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.
