I'm frustrated. Everywhere I've worked I've gotten great reviews and even leadership awards. At my last company my boss was promoted to CAO. She hired a director but made her VP of HR at hire due to someone leaving. VP ran 6 HR directors out of the co (we all left without jobs lined up). After I left my team quit & the CAO was fired. Now they promoted this VP to a Sr VP. I gave so much, got nothing, yet she fell into SVP. I have a new Director level job. How do I break into the VP level?
Recruiters!! Is reaching out to the recruiter who organised the interviews after a few days (since no feedback was given as of yet) a sign of desperation? And would that affect salary negotiations? Asking for a friend !
Any auditors in here get their CFE after you already passed your CPA? Did your firm pay you more for it?

Does anyone have a name for what I'm looking for? Essentially, I'm looking for a resource to give to clients that really need to assess their current benefits and pay structure (and pay equity) in comparison to other organizations in the market and to provide the results and a roadmap of how to get where they need to be in order to retain and attract talent. Something like an HR Turnaround Consultant but I'm sure there is a better name?

So I connected with a man on Bumble…handsome, could string together a coherent sentence, and we had some things in common. A decent enough start, so I gave him my Google number. The 3rd sentence he sends is, “I hope this isn’t a Google number.” WTF? I tell him it is and ask if that’s an issue. He said yes, because “honesty is important.” I told him having a Google number isn’t a sign of dishonesty, but I had no intention of debating my choices with him. He responds with this: 😭

I have received two offers for Summer Internships. West Monroe Partners Software Engineer and Deloitte Software Engineer. I'm not sure which one will be better for my career. Will Deloitte allow better future opportunities because of its brand name? Or, will the fact that WMP is a technology-focused consulting firm look better for getting future SWE jobs?
